Participating is as easy as 1-2-3! 

1. Register for free.

2. Ask your friends and family to support your efforts by donating to your page online or joining your team! Raise or donate a minimum of $50 and get an event t-shirt.

3. Join us our Virtual Event followed by a week of fun activities.

Fundraising Contest 

Team Contest:  The top five fundraising team captains will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a one-of-a-kind sailing experience on the SV/Shamrock for a two-hour cruise with a guest. You and your guest will get to sail along Masonboro Island and Wrightsville Beach waterways.

Individual Contest:  The top five individual fundraisers will each receive a $100 gift card to Omega Sports.

All pre-registrants by October 3 who donate or raise $50+ are guaranteed an event t-shirt. All pre-registered survivors will receive a survivor shirt. There will a shirt pick up event scheduled following event week.

 


Event Week Schedule

We will be providing creative ideas for donors and participants to get involved with their teams while doing special activities throughout the following week September 26 through October 3, in memory or in honor of those impacted by lung cancer! We will share all of the fun details soon.

Monday, Sept 28 evening from 6:00 to 7:30pm - Gardening Class on
 "General Integrated Plant Management Strategies," which are designed to keep vegetable plants as healthy as possible, making them better equipped to resist and tolerate pest and disease pressure. Presented by Matt Jones, horticulture extension agent with NC Cooperative Extension in Chatham County. To view the event click here to visit our FaceBook page at 6:00PM. 


Tuesday, Sept 29 morning from 7:00 to 8:00am - Yoga  

Our yoga instructor, Yoli is a California transplant to NC. She moved here with her young family over 14 years ago.
Yoli earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Her Jesuit education instilled in her a desire to serve others. She has a long career of working for small creative agencies and more recently for software development firms. However, it’s her volunteer work and teaching yoga that give her the greatest satisfaction. Two years ago, Yoli fulfilled a dream of hers to become a certified Yoga Instructor. Wednesday, Sept 30 afternoon from 12:00 to 1:00pm - Survivor Tent Luncheon on Zoom. Registration is required. Click here to register


Thursday, Oct 1 evening from 6:00 to 7:30pm - Live and interactive HL Catering Cooking Class - A unique and fun experience to bring people together and create a delicious meal at the safety of your own home. From basic fundamentals to skills you can show off at your next dinner party, join us for a night of fun in the kitchen! We will be preparing a Flatbread Pizza with salad with homemade dressing and a cocktail.

Friday, Oct 2 evening 6:30 to 7:30pm - Game Night on Zoom

DEVICE REQUIREMENTS: Desktop/Laptop Preferred or tablet with a width resolution greater than 600px (virtually all tablets). Headphones can also help with smaller devices. Virtual Game Night was built to be played on a laptop, desktop, or tablet (not on your phone). Test your camera and mic in advance to make sure it's all good to go.
