Hubert Parks (shown with his wife, Joellen, 7 children and 2 of his grandchildren) founded Parks Chevrolet in Kernersville in 1967, adding Parks Mazda in 1977, expanding to Raleigh in 1985 and growing into Charlotte in 1987. Our leader was diagnosed with lung cancer in September of 2008, passing away in March of 2010. Now, we must make sure others don't face the suffering that Mr. Parks endured from the leading cancer-killer of Americans.
Please help us change the current facts for those affected by lung cancer. Simply take a moment to join us in supporting the Greensboro LUNGe Forward 5K Run, Walk and Rally, coming up Nov 2, 2019, for the Lung Cancer Initiative. • Register • Donate • Sponsor • Volunteer • Together, we can truly make a difference.
If you cannot attend in person, consider registering as a Lounge For Lung Cancer participant so you can get one of the navy, long-sleeved participant shirts mailed to you or make a donation toward this cause. Every dollar makes a positive impact!
The Lung Cancer Initiative specializes in connecting patients, survivors and loved ones with the medical and research community across North Carolina. On November 2nd, we'll come together to remember those lost and celebrate all survivors, including veterans who are impacted at a higher rate by this disease. We will raise funds to Save Lives via lung cancer Research • Awareness • Education • and Access programs.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
