1 in 3 Americans is touched by lung cancer, and the Parks Automotive family is included amongst those who faced loss from this dreadful disease.
Hubert Parks founded Parks Chevrolet in Kernersville back in 1967, adding Parks Mazda in 1977, expanding to Raleigh in 1985 and growing into Charlotte in 1987.
Our strong leader was diagnosed with lung cancer in September of 2008, passing away in March of 2010. Now, we work to make sure others don't face the pain and suffering that Mr. Parks endured from the leading cancer-killer of Americans.
Please take a moment to join us in supporting the Greensboro LUNGe Forward 5K Run, Walk and Rally, coming up Nov 10, 2018, and benefitting the Lung Cancer Initiative.
The Lung Cancer Initiative specializes in connecting patients, survivors and loved ones with the medical and research community across NC. On November 10th, we'll come together to remember those lost and celebrate all survivors, including veterans who are impacted at a higher rate by this disease. We will raise funds for lung cancer research, awareness, education and access programs.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Center City Park, Greensboro.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead
